Our Story

From a 1790 flour mill to the next generation of Irish farming

Leinster Mills was originally a flour mill founded in 1790 on the Corbally Line of the Grand Canal (Naas Branch) — a well-known early Odlums mill that formed part of the critical infrastructure for the surrounding countryside. The site is also home to a speciality coffee roastery today (more on that another time). What hasn't changed is our connection to the land: we're still closely tied to the countryside and to farming, applying that same hands-on craft to new challenges and opportunities facing today's precision farming practices.

Our LoRaWAN sensor hardware is currently on the bench, not yet in the field — we're validating readings and battery life before the first farm deployment. A few snapshots from our own monitoring, redrawn for the web.
